WP 04: Room 36 – Courtyard

The Great Theatre Restoration Project is defined by two major objectives: One is the implementation of necessary restoration and conservation works, the other to re-open the theatre for events as soon as possible.

As a continuation of the consolidation of the spectator area, the conservation of the ima cavea (lower rows of the auditorium) and the orchestra (area between the audience and the stage) provides the final step in the conservation programme required to prepare the site for cultural events. Using the conserved areas as the basis, additional structures ‒ such as a portable stage and light system ‒ can be implemented.
